Light the Night with Luminaries

Every year on the second Saturday in December, our city lights luminaries and places them on the curb to light the neighborhood streets. Most neighborhoods participate. It is really pretty with the neighborhood lit up. People come to the area just to see the lights. They say that airplanes taking off and landing in the area can see all the lights.
This tradition comes from a Mexican tradition of lighting a bonfire on Christmas Eve.
It was a pain for Kyle to set up and it took a while, but it was pretty when it was done.

I'm such a fan of any kind of lights at Christmas -- this is great! Looks so pretty!

I Love Luminaries. It's my favorite at Temple Square, too. I think it's unique and eloquent. Very pretty.
